Baby Games – Month 4

Last updated On August 2nd, 2020

Your little bundle of Joy will start interacting with you this month. She will hold her head steady, do mini pushups even may rollover.

It is time to make her stronger for future milestones. Let’s play elevator fun with her.

Game 1: Busy Fingers

Purpose: To build eye and hand coordination

Baby is just discovering her body, especially her hands. She should be spending time looking at and playing with her fingers and hands.

She also will be starting to play with hands and fingers in the center of her body. Putting her hands or toys in her mouth is typical at this age.

Be sure toys are age-appropriate and big enough to not cause choking. Helps baby learn how to use hands and eyes together when exploring their surroundings.

Game 2: Texture Time

Purpose: To develop sensory skills

To develop baby new sensory experience, you must give baby the different things with both smooth and bumpy textures.

Game 3: Roll Baby Roll

Purpose: To learn crawling

After six months, rolling is an important thing for babies. Lay next to your baby and place him on the side. Give support to your baby’s back with a rolled-up baby blanket.

Laugh and talk with baby and soon baby will stretch and try to roll. Encourage your baby with a clap when he rolls.

Again, roll him back and engage in continuous rolling. It helps the baby to strengthen the core muscles and prepare for crawling and sitting in the near future.

Game 4: Elevator Fun

Purpose: To develop core strength

Play the elevator game with your baby. Lie on your back and hold baby steady with your hands.

Then, slowly push him up in the air and say “Ding! Then, lower the baby back down and say “Ding! Your arm will get a good work out, and the baby will get stronger.
