Baby Games – Month 6

Last updated On August 2nd, 2020

A lot of good things are happening this month. She will be introduced to solid food this month, she may have started sitting of her own without support.

Take her outside to your garden or a park nearby to improve her sensory skills.  I recommend to play the following games with her to build up the Mom-Baby bonding.

Game 1: Sightseeing with Baby

Purpose: To develop a sense of balance

Clean your house while wrapping your baby around you. While you carry your baby, you can hold your baby close, and your baby will get to watch a new world.

Wrap your baby strong, and you can complete your household chores. Also, the baby learns a new balance and body position.

Game 2: A Solid Move

Purpose: To develop feeding skills

Consult with baby’s healthcare provider and start giving pureed and cereal foods. After a bottle and breastfeed, start with smooth purees.

Also, end the meal with milk or formula after having solids. It helps the baby to improve feeding skills.

Game 3: Sit On Up

Purpose: To build strength

Place your baby in a sitting position. Bring the hands in front of their legs so that they can push the body with the help of arms.

Baby’s back will look round. Once the baby becomes stronger, the baby’s back will become straight. Bring the hands in front of their legs so that they can push with the help of arms.

Game 4: Nature Walks

Purpose: To develop listening skills

After 3-4 months your baby’s neck muscles become stronger. You can take him for a walk outside to feel and enjoy the world outside his room and the house.

He will enjoy the natural breeze, the sounds, and feel the changed surroundings around him.
