Mindfulness is generally considered one of the complicated things but in reality, it is not.

‘Mindfulness is focusing on a certain goals in mind: intentionally, right now, non-critically’.

‘Mindfulness is one of the basic abilities possessed by humans to be completely present and aware of what we are doing or where we are doing or basically the things around us.

Most of the practice mindfulness to increase their concentration and to be more efficient and achieve more in different aspects of their lives.

There are plenty of ways in which a person can be more mindful. A few of the mindfulness tips are:

  • Having a mindful morning

Having a good morning is very important for a good start to the day. Having a short mindful session in the morning is like you just have to sit focus your mind on one thing at a time. Stay away from checking your emails, your phone or laptop, even any sort of magazine or newspaper.

  • Meditate

Meditation is all about sitting in a relaxed position with a straightened back and let go all the thoughts of the mind. Meditating for just 20 minutes in the morning sets your brain on the right track for the rest of the day.

Usually, people think that meditation can only be performed in the morning, it’s a myth. Meditation does not have anything to do with at what time it is being performed. But it is just a thing that performing meditation in the morning is more helpful for being Mindful.

  • Eating Mindfully

People usually eat their meals in a hurry or while watching TV, using a phone, and reading. You just do not have to do that, while having your meal have it patiently enjoy every bite of your food. It’s like with whatever feeling and emotions you have while eating , food works in that way in your body.

 

  • Physical training

Does not matter how much you do it or what you do, just do something, either walk, stretch, go to the gym, or do any other physical exercise. Doing so will aware you of your body’s sensation.

  • Practice mindfulness in spare time

Spare time means when you are waiting for something. For humans waiting over something is just a nuisance but this waiting time can be used for mindfulness. Just focus on your breathing in and out, ignore everything that irritates you while waiting, and just focus on your breathing.

  • Short Mindfulness sessions

Research has shown that the human mind responds better to short sessions of mindfulness than the lengthy sessions. Having a number of mindfulness sessions of a few minutes in far better than a weekend retreat or long sessions of 50-60 minutes.

For instance, you can focus on how your clothes feel like on your skin or how does the sole of a shoe feel on the feet.

These are a few mindfulness tips anyone can follow. You can put these in your lifestyle to see a positive change in your mentality and body. These tips can help a person staying away from depression and be more focused on their day-to-day tasks.
