Pregnancy Checklist for Month 9

Last updated On August 2nd, 2020

You are into the last month of pregnancy. In the past 8 months, you have made sure that you do everything right.
From eating a healthy diet to exercising appropriately and taking medications on time, you have kept out an eye on everything to make sure that you deliver a healthy, bouncy baby.

Well, the good news is that starting this month, the countdown to welcome your little darling begins.
Though the doctor has given you a due date, there is no sure shot way to guess when you may go into labor.

Your little one may surprise you by making an appearance earlier than expected.
It is also possible that you may cross the due date without any signs of going into labor.

You have been making your way through the checklist for the past 8 months to make sure that you get everything done correctly and on time.
Here is a final pregnancy checklist which will come in handy till you go into labor:

Instructions for Colleagues

If you have decided to keep working till you go into labor, then you should always be ready with instructions for your colleagues.

So, make sure that every day you leave a post-it on your desk with instructions in case you go into labor that very day.

This will surely be a boon to your co-workers who will know what to do in your absence.

Pack your Partner’s Bag

Now, you might have packed your hospital bag with all the essentials that you and your baby will need while in the hospital.
What about your husband? It is imperative that he too will have to stay with you in the hospital to help you out, unless he has other kids to take care of at home.

So, if your better half is planning to be by your side throughout the hospital stay, you need to pack a bag for him too.
The bag should have a change of clothes for him, a shaving kit and any other accessories that he may need. Ask him to help you pack the bag so that he knows where to find each thing.

List of Important Phone Numbers

The arrival of your baby is a time to celebrate and the merriment doubles when you have loved ones to share the good news with.
So, this month as you wait for the labor to set in, make a list of all the people you would like to call and share the good news with. Add in their phone numbers to the list.

Confirmation with Hospital

Though you may have completed all the initial formalities with the hospital, make sure that they are ready to receive you any time now.
Now when you are 9 months pregnant, ensure that all the arrangements are underway and they have kept a room reserved for you, just in case you go into labor soon.

Checkups

Up until now, your doctor may have been seeing you once or twice a month. But starting this month, she will expect that you pay her a visit every week.
So, make sure that you set aside some time for your weekly visits with your doctor.

Relax

Once you know that everything has been taken care of, there is nothing more to do than relax and wait for the labor pains to set it and deal calmly with all your 9 months pregnant symptoms.

With this checklist, your journey through the 9th month of pregnancy will surely be a breeze.
