Reasons for babies cry

The arrival of the newborn baby is itself feels like a wonderful experience and happiness to family members and parents. The couples think like heaven on the earth. A special bond will create with newborn babies and with parents. This makes the parents instinctively care for and nurture the baby.

The newborn baby gives a bundle of joy to all. With the first touch of the baby, the mother will forget all her pain. The newborn baby’s first smile, first touch, soft skin, and son makes the couple happy. If the baby cries, the mother faces a daunting situation. All the family members get tense about the baby’s cry. But for newborn baby crying is the only means of communication to express their feelings.

Common reasons for a newborn baby cry:

• Hunger: This is the main reason for a newborn baby’s cry. Usually, for the newborn baby, the mother should feed hourly once. The tummy of the baby is too small and milk digest in the tummy very soon just within 1 to 1.5 hours. So the mother feeds the baby very frequently. This is the main reason elders and doctors suggest to mothers always stay with baby until 6 months.

• Sleeping: If the baby is sleeping make sure to your family members to maintain silence. Few babies are too sensitive that even for small disturbance also will get up and starts cry. Sometimes, the baby may just be too tired and wants to go off to sleep but they cannot sleep on their own and show some signs such as yawning, rubbing their eyes, and so on. Those signs the mother should be able to understand and react accordingly.

• Wet Diapers: The main reason for a baby’s cry is wet diapers, cotton nappies should be changed every time. Diapers should be changed every 6 hours so that it will reduce rashes. Babies suffer a lot because of rashes and even there is a chance of getting a fever.

• Digestion problem: Digestion and colic are the main reasons that make the infant cry. As the baby tummy is too sensitive, small changes also can’t able to digest. While feeding along with milk the air enters into the stomach, due that gas fills in the tummy and makes the baby uncomfortable and starts cry.

• Strangers touch: Newborn babies are too sensitive and are able to identify the difference between mother touch and passing from hands to hand makes the baby uncomfortable, so that baby will cry.

• Fever, cough, nose blockage make the baby cry: From the nose, the blockage baby suffers a lot as it is unable to breathe properly.

• Teething pain: During teething, the baby suffers from pain in their gums. Teething can be painful as each new tooth pushes through tender young gums. Some babies suffer more than others, but all are likely to be fussy and tearful from teething at some point.

• Too hot and too cold: Baby’s will cry because of extreme hot and cold. Try to maintain some moderate temperature in the baby’s room.

• Babies will not like loneliness, they always expect parents or family members to stay and likes somebody should communicate.

• Needs to burp: Burping isn’t mandatory. But if a baby is crying after breastfeeding, a good burp may be required. Babies swallow air when they breastfeed or suck from a bottle, and this may cause discomfort if the air isn’t released. Some babies are intensely bothered by having air in their tummy, while others don’t seem to burp or need to be burped much at all.

• Bad dream: Babies also get dreams during sleep. Sometimes babies will smile, cry during sleep.

Few tips for the new mother to soothe baby’s cry:

  • Identify the reason for crying as the baby give the different sign for different things.
  • Feed the baby frequently.
  • Encourage sucking.
  • Try to maintain a proper sleeping timetable for the baby.
  • Change the dirty diaper as soon as possible.
  • Wrap the baby, if the baby is feeling too cold. If it is too hot use cotton cloths.
  • Rock in a Chair or Glider.
  • Sing a song for your baby.
  • Give the massage, massage makes the baby relax and sleeps for a longer time.
  • Maintain silence during baby sleep.
  • Use colic carry techniques to burp.
  • It is suggested to maintain a healthy diet for breastfeeding mothers, as the baby is too sensitive and there is a chance of getting the infection. The infection makes the baby cry a lot.
  • There is a special bond that will build with baby and mother in the womb itself so baby is more comfortable with mothers only. So it is suggested to the mother to stay with newborn babies. Nobody will soothe the baby in this world except the mother.
  • Entertain the baby by singing a song, by animated sounds, by spinning, and so on.
  • In spite of that, the baby is crying and unable to soothe it is suggested to consult the doctor. Don’t use home remedies as the baby is too sensitive.
