Baby Games – Month 9

This month you will find that your little darling can stand for long on her feet without any support than the month week.

Encourage her to develop her neck and head control, sensory skills, visual focus and motor skills with the following games.

Game 1: Baby Pushups

Purpose: To develop neck and head

Outside the bathtub, you can play with your baby. Use a small tub to play. Fill the tub with water.

Also, put floating objects like spoons and plastic cups in the tub. Enjoy a splashing bath with your baby.

Push the object underwater then watch the cups come up to float. It helps the baby to develop sensory and motor skills.


Game 2: Raining in Bath

Purpose: To develop sensory skills

While giving a bath to a baby, experience him or her of rain. Take a plastic container and make some small holes at the bottom.

Pour the water and encourage the baby to turn upside down and allow the water to squeeze through the holes.


Game 3: Toy Stacking

Purpose: To develop visual focus

Babies are becoming interesting in knowing how things work. Introduce stacking toys to your baby.

You can stack the toys for the baby and encourage them to knock the toys down.

You can guide the hands with the motions. It helps the baby to develop thinking skills and visual skills.


Game 4: Clap & Kiss

Purpose: To develop fine motor skills

Baby is learning to wave and point. It is a new gesture for the baby. You can also clap your hand, blow a kiss and encourage baby to do the same.

It helps the baby to learn how to express and move.
