Welcome to week 2
- She gradually gets muscle control and makes jerky movements, which may scare you a bit!
- Get ready for the surprise! Awed by the reflex of your little one who urged to feed on you when you carry her in your arms? Yea, you will become a familiar face and smell to her.
- Identify the increased awareness of staring at objects and faces with no reaction. (She is still in meditation mode).
- Ask her to see you by calling her name in different places.
- Show your face from different distances.
- Accept the reality that she cries a lot more than the first week (why it happens, nobody knows).
- Don’t get alarmed at slightly runny stool.
- Prep your baby for tummy time as soon as the umbilical cord fell off. Putting the baby on her tummy strengthens the neck and back muscles.
- Introduce your family members, gently and gradually as babies prefer human faces (of course, she is also a human isn’t it) than toys and colors.
- Learn a lot of techniques to soothe a crying baby.
- Give sponge baths up until two weeks, once in two days.
