Last updated On August 2nd, 2020

Congrats. You have almost spent a month with the little bundle of joy. Now, she is grown up a bit and you will experience a lot of different things.

  • Hope you both had a lot of practice in feeding the baby. Feeding is not a major issue now.
  • Check how long the baby sleeps at a single stretch. She will sleep for about 5 to 6 hours in a stretch, day and night.
  • Create a proper sleeping routine for the child.
  • Have you noticed the clear smile on your baby’s face now? She will smile at you clearly.
  • Looking for a relief from incessant crying? Your baby will make little cooing sounds rather than crying.
  • Did you notice any tiny rash that appears like a pimple or milk spots on the cheeks and nose of the baby? It’s nothing serious and don’t panic.
  • Have you noticed the vaginal discharge in the girl child when she is just one month old? The girl baby may have vaginal discharge (inconsistency of mucus with a hint of blood) due to hormonal changes.
  • Talk to your baby while feeding. She will respond.
  • Play music when the baby is awake, hum a song
  • Play different sounds, let the baby hear different sounds (barking dogs, birds chirping,
  • Make up some funny noises or rhyming tunes.
  • Increase your interaction with the babies
  • Let the baby held by family members and call her. She will hunt for you.
  • Watch how the little one behave when she was held by a stranger (a new person or unfamiliar person she never saw in the past few weeks)
  • Introduce the relationships of family members gradually.
  • Show different colors and colorful patterns to the baby. Watch her whether she will be able to see the difference. Most babies will be able to identify black and white patterns.
  • Play movable toys. They will try to follow it.
  • Sort out and plan for regular habits like bathing time, feeding time, sleeping time, etc to create an easy and fuss-free routine.
